18 Months old!

I can't believe my daughter is 1 1/2 already! I know I ALWAYS say this, but time really does fly by!!!! Well, I don't really have any new updates so I will just tell you a few things she does lately. She doesn't have to see the dr. again until she is 2 so that is good! Her new favorite thing to do is sing and dance. She makes like an "S" sound and kind of sways back and forth. LoL I am going to attempt to post a short video of it at the end of this post. She is obsessed with closing doors and drawers, if I leave them open she closes them immediately. If I am in the fridge looking for something she is trying to push the door closed with me still inside. :) My tupperware is hardly every in the cupboard anymore. I usually find it under the couch. LoL She also likes to take the hand towels out of the kitchen and use them to clean the TV. At least the bottom part of our TV screen is never dusty! Hmmm...what else....she is still taking 2 naps a day, which I LOVE. :) She LOVES soda! If I have a soda I can't turn my back for a second without her grabbing it and running off. She is still a pretty good eater, but lately we are having a hard time getting her to eat meat....hopefully she grows out of it though. Oh, and she also LOVES to talk on the phone as long as nobody is on the other end! She will go on and on until I hand her the phone to talk to someone and then she is silent. Well I could go on and on about little Miss Kendall Jean, but I will end it here. :)

Night on the town!

Last night we decided last minute to meet some friends down at the forum shops at Ceasars Palace and go to Fao Schwartz. Last minute meaning 8 P.M., just an hour before Kendall's bedtime. LoL We ended up getting home at about 12:15. Ha Ha Kendall was so good though! She had so much fun playing with her friend Lauren. Their favorite thing to do was push around the baby strollers. :) After Fao Scwartz we decided to go to The Cheesecake Factory since it was right there and it's our favorite. The girls were really good there too! It was just a fun little night out!

ADDICTED

I am officially addicted to Stephanie Meyers! I LOVED the first 3 books of the Twilight series and I can't wait to read the 4th, it comes out Friday! YEAH!!! I am currently reading The Host. I was worried that it wouldn't meet my expectations because I couldn't put any of the Twilight books down, but it has! I still have about 200 pages to go and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I recommend it to anyone who loves a good read!

Relaxing Weekend in St.George

This past weekend an exchange student that my mom had a few years ago from Japan decided to come back for a visit. Her name is Yuri and she is great! She is sooooo nice and polite. All the babies LOVED her. :) We all spent the weekend just hanging out and relaxing. Saturday night we had some friends over and we sat around drinking, talking, and attempting to play Monopoly. LoL It was a lot of fun and I wish we could do it more Carie! Sunday Kendall got to go swimming with her friend Hailey. They wore eachother out and both passed out on the couch. :) Of course, we all took turns passing Keidan James around. He has gotten so big! It is so fun to make him smile. :) All in all it was a very nice weekend. I didn't get any very good pics, but here are a few anyways.

The Garbage Truck

Kendall is obsessed with the garbage truck. LoL If it wakes her up she is terrified of it and won't go back to sleep, but this morning she was up early and when she heard it she ran to the window and looked out. Her expressions were so funny and she kept laughing and throwing her head back and bouncing up and down!!! It was hilarious and I am sooooo glad that I could finally catch her with pictures and she cooperated. LoL

Craft Time

A friend of mine has recently started a craft time during the day for her daughter and I thought it sounded like a great idea, so today was my first attempt. Kendall wanted nothing to do with it! I got some markers and let her watch me trace my hand and then I traced hers, and then she just wanted to take all the markers out of the package and throw them around. :) I had some music on so then she started dancing as she was taking all the lids off the markers. LoL Needless to say I just decided to put it away for the day. I did get her a Mr. Potato Head today and she LOVES it! It was funny to watch her concentrating so hard on putting the pieces in all the holes. Everytime Wayne or I tried to help she would tell us "No No No". :) Anyways, I also picked up some crayons today and we are going to try craft time again tomorrow. Ha ha ha

Scrap Blogging

I found a site last night called scrapblog.com and decided to try it out. For those of you who know me I am the least creative person in the world, but these are so EASY! I am just getting started so hopefully they get better, but here are a couple pages I did. My favorite is the Splish Splash one. Let me know what you think. I am going to go work on some more!

Kendall's First French Braid

I realize that this is probably not a big deal to a lot of people, but I have been waiting almost a year and a half for the day that I could braid my daughter's hair and today was that day!!! I have been so bored putting her hair in pigtails everyday that today I just decided to play around. I was shocked when I got it into two braids!!! I hadn't realized how long her hair had gotten. I am posting some pics that I took, the braids aren't perfect, but they are pretty darn cute!

4th of July

Our 4th of July weekend was spent in St. George at my mom's house. We decided to watch the fireworks from up at the airport, and although they were pretty good, Kendall still wasn't very interested this year. When they got over we went back to the house and lit some off in the street and she seemed to enjoy those a little more. I also bought her some sparklers, but she didn't seem to care for those either! What a weirdo!!! LoL We spent the rest of the weekend just hanging out with baby Keidan and the rest of the family. Kendall always has a blast when we are there. She runs nonstop! She finally found my mom's tupperware cabinet so we spent a lot of time picking up tupperware. :)
