Thanksgiving 2008

Our Thanksgiving this year was spent in Tonopah. We had a lot of fun Thanksgiving day with family and friends. Of course we ate a ton!!! Friday Wayne and I, Miranda, and Steph and Josh went for a rhino ride. The girls stayed behind with Grandma and Papa. It was WAY too cold for them to go. We froze our butts off, got drunk, rode forever on a flat tire, and had to be rescued by my dad. LoL We had a blast! Saturday we all went for a ride and it was lots of fun too. The girls did great! The only time they would fuss was when we were stopped. LoL They loved riding though and were passed out before we even got home. All in all it was a great weekend! We hope that everyone else enjoyed their Thanksgiving too!!!

22 Months old

Kendall Jean is busy busy busy as always. She LOVES to sit on her potty, but she won't go potty in it. LoL She is talking more and more everyday. She will pretty much say anything you tell her to say. She loves to be a monster. I have no idea where she got it from, but she is always growling. It is hilarious. The other day she got on her horsie all by herself. It amazes me every day what she can do. She is still obsessed with her baby. It is really cute. I love all of the projects that she brings me home from daycare. They told me the other day that she loves craft time. She is going to be my little artist. She has been a lot better lately about letting me take pictures of her. When I take the camera out now, she smiles and says cheese. :) She weighs a little less than 30 lbs now. She is still a really good eater. I can't believe my little princess is going to be 2 next month!!!! So CRAZY!

New Dress

While we were shopping in St. George this weekend my mom picked up a cute new dress and tights for Kendall. She told me that when Kendall wore it she wanted me to take some pics for her. Lately Kendall has been HORRIBLE when I want to take pictures of her. As soon as she sees the camera she starts screaming no and trying to find a place to hide. LoL Anyways, here are the pics that I got. I am also posting some of her watching cartoons!!!! For those of you who know Kendall at all, you know that she doesn't watch cartoons. Anyways....this makes it hard for me to do ANYTHING....soooooo when I saw her laying on the bed perfectly content with her sippy and cartoons I had to document it. You can see that this annoyed her.

Halloween 2008

This Halloween week was VERY busy!!! Kendall had a class party on Wednesday which was lots of fun! They had a bounce house and a cotton candy machine! I took an early lunch and got to help with a little bit of the party so that was good. The bad part about it was that as soon as Kendall saw me she started being a brat. The teachers kept saying "Oh! Kendall was so good until you got here!" LoL Oh well, I am still glad that I got to go. Friday night Wayne ended up having to work. :( I took Kendall to our neighbors that we know, and then I loaded her up and took her trick or treating at The District. It was lots of fun, but sooooo busy. Kendall got too much candy and there is no way I am going to let her eat it all. LoL Luckily daddy has a sweet tooth. When Wayne got done working we loaded up the car and headed to St. George for the weekend. I always LOVE going to St. George!!! We had lots of fun shopping and just hanging out. Kendall took a bubble bath in Grandma's jetted tub. She wasn't too sure about the jets though. LoL Other than that nothing new....we are looking forward to Thanksgiving now!!!

Loving baby

Lately Kendall has been really attached to her baby. I think it is soooo cute! (Even though I think this baby looks scary, I wish she would love her cabbage patch baby, but she wants NOTHING to do with her!) She walks around the house holding her baby close and humming a song to her. She pats her on the back and even gives her kisses. She has to have her for her bedtime story and even makes me tuck her in with her at bedtime! It's pretty amazing to me that she does this because she hasn't really seen me with any babies! Here are some pictures...
A little more update on Kendall....she is doing AWESOME in daycare!!! She no longer cries when I drop her off, she runs off and I have to chase her down for a good bye kiss! She also brings home artwork every Friday which I LOVE!!!! Along with loving on her baby, she has recently started walking around the house growling. It is pretty hilarious. :) She seems to be trying more and more to talk. She now says Harley and Turbo. LoL We will be getting her a potty soon.....I will keep you all updated on how that goes....Ha Ha Ha

The Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we took a family outing to the pumpkin patch. We didn't get to go last year and I was really looking forward to it. I knew there was a train, but I wasn't expecting there to be so many rides that Kendall could go on. The first ride we put her on were some cars that just go in a circle. We should have known that our little adrenaline junkie wouldn't be scared at all! When the ride came to an end and daddy went to go get her she started crying because she didn't want to get off! Needless to say she got to ride it twice. :) She also rode the train, the swings, and of course got to go on the big slide. She loved them all! It was so crazy to see my baby going on carnival rides!!!! She is such a big girl already! She also got to go to the little petting zoo they had there. She is such an animal lover. She kept calling the goats puppies. Ha Ha Ha She chased the ducks around and laughed everytime she got a chance to pet the chickens. :)

We Made It!!!

Kendall and I officially made it through our first week of work and Daycare!!! Woo Hoo!!! I am loving my new job and I really think that Kendall is enjoying daycare. She didn't even cry when Wayne and I dropped her off Monday, but then she cried everyday but Wednesday. Monday I called to check on her 4 times, but for the rest of the week I only called twice a day. I was pretty proud of myself! :) Anyways, she has been doing really well! They say that she cries off and on, but not that much so that's good! I have heard from a lot of people that it usually takes kids about a week to get used to the change so we will see how it goes next week! Back to Work!

For those of you who haven't heard I am going back to work! I actually start tomorrow. It all happened so fast! I decided that I wanted to go back to work on Monday, I emailed my resume to a couple places, got one call back, had an interview on Friday, and then they called me Tuesday and wanted me to start immediately!!!! I interviewed babysitters for 2 days and nobody gave me a "good feeling". I decided to look into daycare even though I knew it was horribly expensive I didn't know what else to do. I actually found one right across the street that is pretty reasonable! I am so excited and I think it will be so good for Kendall. Soooo everything is in order and I am so nervous for this week. It will be so different around our house! Who knows if I will even have time to blog anymore!!!! Hopefully, but if you don't see as many as usual try to understand. :)

Great Grandparents

This last week Kendall got to meet her Great Grandma and Grandpa Barger. They live in Michigan and decided to come for a much needed visit. It was soooo great to see them! We pretty much spent the whole time catching up and eating. We like to eat. LoL The weather was perfect in Tonopah so Kendall spent the days outside with Papa and Great Grandpa Barger. It was a fight every night to get her to come inside! Great Grandma and Grandpa took her on lots of walks in her stroller which she also loved. Other than that it was just very relaxing! I miss them already!

19 Months Old

I know that I am like 2 weeks behind, but I thought I should do a 19 months post for Kendall anyways. Just to let everybody know what she is up to. She is as crazy as ever and has a huge attitude! LoL We go rounds everyday! She is at a whining stage which is driving me CRAZY! She can now say puppy, baby, mommy, daddy, no, ow, eye, and I think that's about it. I swear that she keeps trying to say juice, but I am not for sure. Oh and she says Shhhhhh....it's so cute! Even though she can say mommy, I have noticed that when she wants my attention she yells MOM! LoL She loves to read and will sit down and read her books aloud all day. She also has recently started putting her shoes on all by herself. They are always on the wrong feet, but at least she's doing it! She loves to play with the dogs and when they go crazy running around the house she cracks up. She still loves to sing and dance, but lately sometimes if I try to sing and dance with her she gets mad and sometimes even plugs her ears! Such a brat! Anyways I think that's about it. I took the pictures below this morning because her hair looked so cute!

This morning Kendall pulled down a shelf that had her books on it. :( Poor girl! She is so tough though! She only cried for like a minute! She also has a bruise on her forehead that I didn't get in the pics.

Kendall's latest interest

She takes ALL of her clothes out of her dresser! That's it, she just takes them out! Usually she puts a shirt or a pair of shorts through her arm and walks around the house like it's her purse. LoL Here she is so proud of herself after emptying her dresser.

Labor Day Weekend 2008

This Labor Day Weekend ended up turning out very weird. Wayne's dad was racing in town, and then Wayne found out he had to work so he spent the whole weekend going back and forth from the track to home to work. Needless to say he was exhausted by Monday. He always seems to over work himself...Anyways, Friday and Saturday Kendall got to spend a lot of quality time with her cousin Kamryn. Kamryn is now walking and she was ALL OVER Kendall. LoL They were very entertaining. Kamryn would grab Kendall's shirt and when she tried to run away Kamryn would just hold on and run behing her! LoL She wanted to hug and kiss her the whole time and she had to be touching her at all times! Kendall is very into doing her own thing and she wasn't very happy about Kamryn always having to be RIGHT there, but then there were times when Kendall seemed to like it. They were in their carseats Saturday morning, right next to eachother, and Kendall decided she wanted to hold Kamryn's hand. It was the cutest thing ever! I wish I would have thought to take a picture. I did get some pictures of them standing at the fridge chatting. Kendall was going on and on about something and Kamryn was listening so intently, and then they would look at eachother and laugh! They are such funny little girls. :) Saturday afternoon we were getting ready to barbeque when Steph started saying that she wasn't feeling very well. Then Josh threw up, then Steph, and then Kendall!!!! I was totally shocked! She ended up throwing up like 4 times, but Steph was sick until like 1:30 in the morning! Right when Steph stopped throwing up Kathy started throwing up, then my dad got sick Sunday afternoon, and I started throwing up early Monday morning! It was pretty crazy! I have no idea what we caught or if we all ate something bad or what happened, but it sucked. Oh well, I guess it happens. Everyone is starting to feel much better so that is good. I made a picture pile of all the pics I took of the girls. There are some super cute ones!

Denver, CO

Thursday morning we loaded up the car and headed for Denver for a race. We LOVE road trips! It was supposed to be something around 750 miles, taking about 11 hours, but we were planning on taking some scenic detours and stopping A LOT. We knew that it was going to take us a lot longer than 11 hours. LoL So we drove through Zions which is always beautiful. I love the tunnel up there. It's amazing. After that we stopped at a lot of scenic pullouts and took lots of pictures. It was a lot of fun. Right before we came into Denver there was another pass to go over and it was FREEZING! We took a picture of the thermometer in the car because it said it was 37 degrees outside! CRAZY I really wish that we would have gotten to go over this pass in the daytime because it looked like it would have been beautiful. We got to the track at about 2 AM and went straight to bed. The next morning when we woke up it was pouring. That obviously meant no racing. We had to make an emergency run to Wal Mart for some warm clothes because all I had packed us was shorts and tank tops. LoL So we sat around for 2 DAYS playing cards, watching movies, and trying to stay warm. Sunday morning the rain finally cleared up, they started to dry the track and we were ready to race! Wayne's dad got to go 2 passes and then we loaded everything up. We had heard earlier in the day that they were going to close the pass because of snow so we loaded up my car in the trailer and headed to Casper. I was looking forward to seeing Wayne's home town. We got to Casper about midnight. We were all exhausted and headed to bed. Unfortunately the next morning we didn't have a lot of time to visit because we had to start heading home, but Wayne did show me a couple houses that he had lived in and I finally got to meet his best friend Wade. It was a good visit. Driving this way is about 12 hours, so we knew it would take us about 14. LoL We ended up not making it the whole way. We got to St. George at 1 AM and had to stop at my moms to sleep. Then we got up early the next morning and got Wayne home in time to go to work. The poor guy was so exhausted yesterday! It was a good long weekend and we all had a lot of fun, but I think it's going to take us a weekend at home to recuperate. :)

Weekend Fun

Kendall and I spent this last weekend in Tonopah. (Wayne had to work. :() We had so much fun hanging out with family and friends. My best friend Robin was in town and we spent the majority of our time at her dad's house. He has a beautiful yard and also a swing that hangs from a tree in the front yard. It was the cutest swing ever and perfect Kendall size! At first she was a little scared of it, but when Robin's dad put her on it she loved it! It was so nice to be able to hang out ouside and not immeditely melt! We spent ALL day Saturday outside and Kendall got her first sunburn. Luckily it doesn't seem to bother her at all. Josh, Steph, Miranda, and Kamryn were there too and Kendall wasn't very nice to Kamryn. :( Kamryn pretty much spent the whole time chasing Kendall around while Kendall ran away screaming. I don't understand why she is so mean! Hopefully she gets out of this stage soon. Other than that it was a very fun weekend!

Kendall loves closing herself in the bedroom, whether it's mine and Wayne's, or hers. She just likes to be in there with the door closed. Anyways, I usually give her a few minutes and then I go open the door and tell her to leave it open. LoL We do this all day long. Well earlier she closed herself in my room, so I gave her her usual few minutes and then I went to check on her. This is what I found...

My step sister had a hair appointment this morning, so Kamryn got to come play for a couple hours! Kendall had so much fun entertaining her! She was being so crazy running around, dancing, and throwing her head back against the couch. Kamryn thought she was HILARIOUS!!! It was so fun to watch them play together. :) Here are a few pics....
